We decided to give several new Restaurants a try this week in Old Town Alexandria, taking advantage of the great prices for fantastic selections at this event organized by the City of Alexandria
Started with The Light Horse in Old Town, just west of George Washington St on the North side of King Street at 715 King
Good thing we made reservation by calling the Restaurant, we were seating promptly even though the place was packed, it was our first time there.
I love to give different restaurants a try, you never know what they might have, I am always amazed to the selection and different combinations, a treat. On the other hand, my husband prefers to go to the same place all the time. So having Restaurant Week in Old Town is a great excuse for me to have him try some other Restaurants.
We both had an entree and we shared a desert for Only $35. They gave us the bill at the end showing we had saved $19, nothing wrong with that. The best part was we both loved the place, the food was fantastic ! and the service was excellent.
If I had to give it a rating, it would be a B+, only because the Lamb Chops were a bit overcooked and the Beef was a bit undercooked. Other than that fantastic. I will continue to go to see if I can upgrade it to my Favorite’s restaurants list(see link below). I like to include there only the ones that are consistently good. Will keep updating as I go along
We still have a few more days to go for Restaurant Week, I am checking out now the options, need to decide where to go tomorrow.
